Drinking Water Scarcity at Badagaon in Gajapati

ITDA drinking water project done but nothing of use

Gajapati,16/12/23:At Badagaon village of Gajapati district despite winter,too,villagers unable to get drinking water.Sorrounding with hills despite severe cold where they are unable to come out side.

There drinking water problem is on dire straits.Moreso they have to walk 2 kms to bring water.

Under RUdayagiri block the village is situated. Where crores pumped for drinking water,moreso Basudha & earlier Swajaladhara just for name sake;but none of the schemes reached at that village.Rather they collect dirty canal water under hills.

Though by ITDA drinking water project done but nothing of use. Neither block administration nor district administration reached at them.Years together their sufferings felt as if vehemently heeded by the administration.

Now the villagers retorted to gherao for unlimited days before block office.While interacted with BDO of RUdayagiri,he quipped that he will directly supervise the situation & try to sort out such core issue.
