DRDO Successfully Tests Anti-Radiation Missile ‘RudraM-II’
Balasore: India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) achieved a significant milestone with the successful flight test of the RudraM-II air-to-surface missile from the Su-30 MK-I platform of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Conducted from Chandipur in Odisha, the test met all trial objectives, validating the missile’s propulsion system and control and guidance algorithm.
The Ministry of Defence stated that the missile’s performance was validated through flight data captured by range tracking instruments such as electro-optical systems, radar, and telemetry stations deployed by the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur and various other locations, including onboard ships.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised DRDO, IAF, and the industry, emphasizing the successful test’s significance in strengthening the Indian armed forces. The RudraM-II system, equipped with state-of-the-art indigenous technologies developed by various DRDO laboratories, serves as a crucial force multiplier for neutralizing diverse enemy assets in air-to-surface operations, according to Ministry of Defence sources.
