Doctor asked Benupani to Pay 25% P.C and Caught by Vigilance

BERHAMPUR: The Vigilance Officers of Berhampur Division caught red handed Dr. Nisith Nisank Malu, Block Public Health Officer, CHC,Phiringia while accepting bribe amount on Wednesday Morning.
According to Santanu Padhi, SP, Vigilance, Berhampur, today at 10.45 AM. One Dr. Nisith Nisank Malu, who presently working as Block Public Health Officer, CHC, Phiringia has been caught red handed while demanding and accepting illegal bribe amount Rs.7000- from Benupani Digal, MPHS, CHC, Phiringia as a reward for passing his RCM & TA bills amounting to Rs.41,900/-and threatening to stop payment of his upcoming bills unless Digal pay the cash of Rs.7000/- on demand.
Getting the ground zero information we have deployed our team at targeted spot and caught the Doctor the moment he accepting the Cash (!).The bribe money of Rs.7000/- has been recovered from the right side pant pocket of wearing full pant of Dr. Malu. Chemical reaction of right hand and right side pant pocket wash of the accused Dr Malu gave positive reaction.The residential quarter of the accused at Phiringia are being searched. Arrangements to search his parental house at Sundarpada, Bhubaneswar are also made,SP said.
