DMET asks SCB Principal to rusticate rape accused cardiologist
Bhubaneswar : Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Dr Santosh Kumar Mishra on Thursday asked the Principal of SCB Medical College & Hospital to rusticate rape accused cardiologist Dr Thakur Dilbag Singh with immediate effect.
Underlining the disciplinary action initiated against Dr Thakur Dilbag Singh who was arrested on the charges of raping two women patients while conducting their cardiological tests, the DMET said the departmental investigation by a 3-member committee led by him corroborated the involvement of the accused doctor in the heinous crime.
“On the basis of the report of the inquiry committee, a letter has been submitted to the Principal of the SCB Medical College and Hospital, asking him to rusticate the accused doctor”, the DMET added.
