DLSA Rayagada spearheads legal awareness on solid waste management
Badal Tah, Odishabarta,Rayagada, 02-06-2024 : The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of Rayagada, in collaboration with Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd. (IMFA), organized a legal awareness program on solid waste management at Therubali under the guidance and support of Asish Kumar Roy, Vice-President & Engineer-in-Chief, IMFA, Therubali. This initiative aimed to educate the employees on the legal frameworks governing waste management and their role in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. Nibedita Panda, Member Secretary in the cadre of Sr Civil Judge, explained the laws related to waste disposal, penalties for non-compliance and the importance of employees’ participation in waste management practices.
The program featured presentations by legal experts such as Subhra Panda, Vice-Chairperson, Rayagada Municipality and Panel Advocates of DLSA namely Biswanath Gantayat, Secretary, Bar Association, Rayagada, Balkrishna from Rayagada Municipality, Advocate Kishore Sahu & Sitaram Panda, Retainers of Front office DLSA. M.Srinivas, GM Mechanical briefed the august house on the practice of solid waste disposal in IMFA. While Shakti Panigrahi, Sr.Manager(PR) extended a hearty welcome to all the participants, guests in the program, Prasant Kumar Nayak In-Charge, Quality Control co-ordinated the program and Tapaswini Panigrahi gave vote of thanks to all.
