Dist. Level Utkal Divas Observed at Gajapati

Paralakhemundi-On behalf of District Administration, Akankhya, Utkal Hiteishini Samaj & Senior Citizens Forum of Gurandi 87th Orissa Day observed with color & gaiety. At morning a massive rally with school students marched past throughout Paralakhemundi town where Collector Gajapati Lingaraj Panda, Zilla Parishad President Gabara Tirupati Rao,SP Jayram Satpathy, ADM Sangramsekhar Panda, Chairperson of Paralakhemundi Municipality Council Nirmala Sethy, Parala Maharani Kalyani Devi also participated. They garlanded at Parala Maharaja Krushnachandra Gajapati’s statue at market Square & Gandhi junction also at his samadhi.

Later on dignitaries gathered on a formal meeting by district administration at RSETI hall. Collector Gajapati Lingaraj Panda presided where Zilla Parishad President GTirupati Rao as Chief Guest,DFO Sangram Kesari Behera graced as chief speaker, Chairperson Nirmala Sethy, ADM Sangramsekhar Panda as guests of honor. Speakers lauded deemed contribution of late Maharaja KCGajapati. His commendable efforts to bring independence of new Orissa a great feat. Winners among various literary competitions given prizes with certificates. DIPRO Swaraj Sisa, District Culture Officer Archana Kumari Mangaraj coordinated the program. 

On behalf of Akankhya organization presided by Asalata Panigrahi among others Dr. Kalyani Mishra, Harmohan Patnaik, Editor of Sidhant magazine Rita Choudhry, UTech Computer founder Loknath Mishra graced on the occasion. Spirit that bounded late Maharaja KCGajapati to visit twice London to restore demand for new Odisha & excavated writings of those literateurs discussed. Swarnaprabha Pathi conveyed vote of thanks.

At Utkal Hiteishini Samaja premises a meeting held where Collector Gajapati Lingaraj Panda graced as chief guest where Purnachandra Mahapatra,Prof. Ajay Kumar Tripaathi, Dr. Kalyani Mishra, Bharatbhusan Mahanty, Asalata Panigrahi, Bichitrananda Bebarta, Binodchandra Jena graced on dias. Speakers filled their passion to restore odia culture & spirit. This must be the rights of every odia, wherever he or she is,must honor Odia language. A volume compiled of eminent writers of Paralakhemundi named “Gajapati Zillara Lekhaka o Lekhika Parichaya” launched by chief guest Panda. Cultural show demonstrated led by DPriyanka cultural group.

At MRBH school” Bande Utkal Janani” sang by Guru Raghunath Patra & his team. Similarly at Gurandi senior citizens garlanded at late Parala Maharaja’s statue & remembered his contribution for independence Odisha.
