Dist.-Level Job Fair HELD at Chikiti Stadium Ground in Ganjam

1,394 Youth Participate; 820 Candidates Selected for Employment
Chikiti, February 26, 2026: With the objective of creating employment opportunities and promoting skill development for the youth of Ganjam district, a District-Level Job Fair was organized today at Chikiti Mini Stadium under the joint auspices of the Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha, the District Administration, District Employment Office wing.
A total of 1,394 candidates registered their names in the Job Fair. Forty-five employers and ten training-cum-placement agencies participated in the event.
In addition, the Indian Army and JSS organization also joined the Job Fair and provided necessary guidance to the participating youth.
During the Job Fair, appointment letters were issued to 215 candidates. Besides this, 820 candidates were selected for employment, while 181 candidates were selected for training-cum-placement programmes.
The Job Fair was inaugurated by Chikiti MLA Manoranjan Dyan Samantara. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate (General) Dr. Pramod Kumar Prusty, DSDEO, Ganjam (In-Charge) Bhubaneswar Mahapatra, Chikiti BDO Bibekananda Mishra, and Chikiti Tahasildar Biswaranjan Kanhar attended as distinguished guests and District Information and Public Relations Officer, Ganjam, Sourav pradhan encouraged the youth.
