Direct train to Varanasi from Rayagada

Rayagada, July 14: Keeping in mind the demand of the travelling passengers of this region, East Coast Railway has decided to extend the services of weekly special train to Varanasi.The train No. 08588 Visakhapatnam- Banaras weekly special train will leave Visakhapatnam on Wednesdays at 12:30hrs from 19.07.023 to 30.08.2023 which will reach Banaras on the next day at 16:30hrs.In return direction the train No. 08587 Banaras -Visakhapatnam weekly special will leave Banaras at 18.00hrs on Thursdays from 20.07.2023 to 31.08.2023 which will reach Visakhapatnam on the next day at 20.30hrs.

It will have stoppages at Simhachalam, Kottavalasa, Vizianagaram, Bobbli, Parvatipuram, Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Balangir, Bargarh Road, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Hatia, Ranchi, Muri, Barkakana, Lateher, Daltonganj,  Garwaroad, Dehri on son, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Pandit DeenDayal Upadhyay and Varanasi between Visakhapatnam and Banaras stations.The train will have 2nd AC-1, 3rd AC-3, Sleeper Class-12, General Second Class-2, Second class cum luggage/ Disabled coaches-2..Denizens, especially the senior citizens of Rayagada, have applauded the proactive role of DRM Anup Satpathy in facilitating the direct visit to one of the most religious places like Varanasi from Rayagada.
