DIPRO CLERK CAUGHT FOR ACCEPTING ILLEGAL GRATIFICATION

SAMLBALPUR:Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday arrested the clerk working in the office of DIPRO, Sambalpur for allegedly demanding and accepting gratification from a suspended driver to pass a bill.
The arrested DIPRO Clerk has been identified as Siba Ram Moharana, a resident of SRIT Colony, Sambalpur.
In a press note by Sambalpur Vigilance SP, the accused clerk of Sambalpur DIPRO office had demanded Rs.1,500 bribe from the Complainant Debananda Ranbida, Driver (under suspension) of the same office for drawal of suspension allowance for the month of May 2020.
During investigation, a trap was laid on 09.06.2020,at about 11.15 A.M. accused Siba Ram Moharana, Billing Clerk, in the office of DIPRO, Sambalpur was caught red handed by the Vigilance team while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.1,500/- from the Complt. Debananda Ranbida, Driver.
The tainted bribe money has been recovered and seized from the possession of accused Moharana in presence of witnesses. The accused has been arrested. He is being forwarded to the Court, the Vigilance further informed.
