DIG, SR Visited Golonthara PS in Connection of Ganesh Dakua Suicide;Enquiry team Constituted

Berhampur:The incident of suicide of Ganesh Dakua inside Golanthara Police station in Berhampur Mr.Satyabrta Bhoi,DIG,Southern Range visited the Golanthara police station accompanied by Mr. Pinak Mishra,SP , Berhampur on Tuesday.
Basis on the communicate by Mr Satyabrta,DIG, SP Berhampur has constituted a team lead by ASP,Prabhat Routray to probe into the incident of negligence and all possible lapses from round the corner.
On receiving the report from ASP, Routray, SP, Berhampur has suspended DCO A.S.I, PC.Acharya and Sentry on duty .P.Jena for their negligence.
In anticipation of any nature of hinder the investigation the inspector-in-Charge,Mr.Babuli Nayak has been immediately disturbed and attached to District Police HQ for free and fair prove into such sensitive issue so that a the enquiry can be established in right manner.
Further the release speak Mr Nayak shall remain under the disciplinary control of Superintendent of Police, Berhampur till the enquiry is over .Mr.Bibekananda Mahanta presently IIC , Gopalpur Police Station is transferred and ordered immediately to take charge as IIC , Golanthara Police station by the order of SP,Berhampur.
Notably, A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death inside Police Station on Monday. The accused was brought to the police station for questioning in connection with a clash at his village.
In this regard ASP, Berhampur clarified in a press note that on Monday Ganesh Dakua of village Rangipur was brought to Police Station for an enquiry and was allowed to sit in the Reception Centre. But around 8 P.M Ganesh attempted to commit suicide by hanging using his waist belt in the window grill of the reception centre without being noticed by the sentry constable(?).Immediately he was shifted to MKCG, MCH, Berhampur for treatment where he died.
