Odishabarta

Paralakhemundi-A tiresome daily up & down covering hilly road those villages disrupted from regular communication, still an adventure shown by a postman of Mohana block to resume his daily duty of letters delivery. Under Malasapadar branch post office of Mohana block of Gajapati district, named Phulas Mandal is serving his duty as postman. He has to cover 34 villages where 12 villages are inaccessible for communication.Still forego all painstaking of communication he has to walk through hilly trench to about 12 villages & hamlets.

Among those inaccessible villages where communication disrupted are Jamadua, Dimiripankal, Tangiachura, Salapagonda, Koiliponka, Jenakhala, Rujangi. All are covered as hilly terrain villages. Despite all huddles he is still showing his stunts to cover those villages to deliver letters, money orders etc.Mostly hard to cover those villages are Dimiripankal & Jamadua around 8 to 10 kms by walk that takes 5 hours to & fro.So far he served 2 decades ie, more than 20 years still he redeemed his spirit in his job. Unfortunately Malaspadar hardly cover any networks for communication. He has given Airtel sim which hardly reachable. Nowhere except Hulapanka village this network is working. On rest of plain villages he has to cover by his own bike. At his low remuneration he has to maintain his family & also sustain for fuel to move by bike. Still his determined mind flashes where his 2 daughters & a son too  on their regular studies. He never shoulder them his pain on his job. Both daughters are studying in +2 & son is doing his Diploma at Brahmapur. He has high breath to stake his profession at all ease. On such die hard race only he thinks to show bright career of their children by forgetting his huddles. On his walk he gets high inspiration & admiration from villagers for his committed services too.”I have been impressed by his time bound duty”, says Simanchal Rout Post Master of Malaspadar post office.
