Paralakhemundi,At Dhepiriguda village under Udaypur panchayat of Nuagada block of Gajapati district, various core issues marked.
Village where 45 families are staying are facing abject problems like drinking water, road communication & schooling.
They use polluted canal trench water which may paralyze them to invite infectious diseases.
Moreover road communication, too, hazardous;where villagers to cross through hills. Recently one girl suffered & villagers shouldered her for treatment.
Later she died.Not to tell about maternity care women woes.
They are being shouldered through dangerous hilly terrain road.Panchayat headquarter is hardly 4 kms.Despite several appeals to administration,their attempts in vein.
A primary school,too,shuttered in that village.While interacted to Lingaraj Karjee Additional Block Education Officer,he replied due to lack of strength that school closed.
While quarried to Asst. Engineer of Rural Development department Sibaram Sahu,he said 10.55 crores sanctioned for road construction, very soon construction work will be started.Block Development Officer of Nuagada Lokanath Sabar said very soon drinking water facilities will be done in that village.
Villagers still stringent to boycott coming panchayat election,if their demands on road communication, drinking water & school not revived.
