DHARMENDRA PRADHAN JOINED ANNUAL FUNCTION OF SSV,BERHAMPUR

Berhampur:Senior BJP leader and Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan claimed the Citizenship (Amendment) Act which was passed in the Parliament, was aimed to protect refugees who had taken shelter in the country. The CAA will not take away anyone’s citizenship, rather it will help minorities facing religious persecution in neighbouring countries.

Pradhan, here in city joining as Chief Guest of the annual function of Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandira, Nilakantha Nagar.He laid the foundation stone of new projects. Appreciating the school track record and the success of the students he especially thanked to the Management and teach staff members.

While briefing to Media person here  the minister told, commenting on the country-wide outrage over CAA, Pradhan said the role of the opposition political parties, particularly the Congress, was misleading the people on the keen way of citizenship Act and instigating people  to resort to violence. ‘They should restrain from such violence and not spread fear among minorities by misleading them about the Act,’ he said.

Commenting on the National Register of Citizens and referring to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s to re-examine with the help of law experts and not ot stand against it, the Union minister said it needs to be implemented and the Centre will frame it for the entire country.
