Dandamaramma Temple A unique Goddess on Dasahara

Paralakhemundi-At Dandu street near Dola tank road of Paralakhemundi Goddess Dandamaramma temple situated.
A rare feature exhibits of that temple, where only during Dasahara time that temple is opened for devotees.
On rest days main entrance gate of Goddess will be closed where side entrance only given opportunity to pray outside of the temple. Navratri puja observed during all those days by Dandu community. Dandu community since centuries together staying nearby the temple & blessings of Paralakhemundi Maharaja dynasty,who are responsible of management of that temple.
Thousands from local & border Andhrapradesh pulled during Dasahara. Those devotees who have spiritual beliefs they offer coconuts for Goddess a unique feature where their coconuts preserved safe for one year. Their beliefs that those coconuts will not be damaged even after one year.
Those coconuts pieces distribute to devotees after year.Daily ‘Homo’ observed on whole 9 days. Those devotee couples or families sit on ‘Homo'(ritual puja)who have their expectations to be fulfilled.
On last day ‘Ghata’, the replica of Goddess will be immerced after 12 O’clock night. At the beginning this was just a formal temple but later with the support of locals fullpledged temple built.
One mystery incident found while electricity department disconnected the electrical services due to non-payment of bill but gambit of miracle dream sublimed & service line again connected.
Committee President Kariggi Satish, Secretary GAnand & members YDilleswar Rao, KRavikumar are those custodians of the temple management. Says teacher Ramachandra Mishra, “Indeed a rare mystery of this temple that attracted for devotion for devotees far from various places to pray for peace & prosperity.
They have highest beliefs & their expectations use to fulfill.”
