CT Scan Machine Inaugurated in RGH Campus

ROURKELA: A new CT-Scan machine was inaugurated in the campus of Rourkela Govt. Hospital by Collector, Nikhil Pavan Kalyan in presence of Sarada Prasad Nayak, District Planning Board Chairman and MLA, Rourkela. This was a highly desirable equipment been in demand for long by many patients as well as intellectuals of Rourkela. In between Rourkela Govt. hospital has improved its standard and treatment in many departments and is now a desired hospital by many staying within a periphery of 60 to 90kms radius.
District administration is always thriving to extend the better medical services like private hospitals and this is one among many feathers they have added till now. Now-a-days cost for having a CT Scan done is much more costly and it varies from hospitals to hospitals. Private hospitals have been exploiting patients by charging in the range of Rs.3000/- to Rs.6000/ and by having this service in RGH absolutely free is welcomed by all walks of life. This has done in PPP mode and funds have been provided from DMF funds. For day to day service and operational activities Administration has entrusted the responsibility on Spandan Diagnostics. Administration is thinking to extend better health service and many more ways and steps will be taken in coming time, said, Nikhil Pavan Kalyan. He also visited all other departments and supervised the entire operational activities and heard the suggestion for improvement of this hospital. In the inaugural ceremony Dr.Saroj Mishra, CDMO, Dr.Santosh kumar Swain, RGH, Dr. S. Kabi Sathpathy, Dr.Sudharani Pradhan, Dr. Pandit Sahu, Dr. Prasanta Patra and other staffs have graced the occasion with their presence.
