COVID-19 CASES IN ROURKELA REDUCING & RMC IN ACTION TO CONTAIN THE INFECTIONS

RORUEKELA: Covid-19 cases in Rourkela reducing as figures were few days back. The local administration is on full swing to check corona leaving aside few cases where few corona positive cases were moving freely on roads and the taken to quarantine after the complaint lodged by locals. Police is now patrolling in the evening and the day time checking people about usage of masks and social distancing. Police is also supervising the guidelines to close all business operations by 9pm.  Also surprise checking is conducted in the markets whether customer or the vendors are following the norms or not. The Commissioner of RMC had visited all containment Zones to supervise how things are moving and the reactions from the inmate there about their problems. He also tried to counsel the people of the containment zone to cooperate in testing, i.e. swab testing and other tests if required to confirm the corona positive cases. Administration is also having close eyes on people who are coming from other districts and asking them to visit Covid testing centers and registration centers at BPUT. As per the information sought, police is surprisingly raids areas who are sensitive in nature or as per inside information about regular offenders.

Today the local administration, under the signature of Sub-Collector, SDM, Panposh, Biswajit Mohapatra has notified for three days shut down from 17th to 19th of this month in Birmitrapur consisting of 11 wards under Birmitrapur Municipality to check the spread of corona looking at the sensitiveness of the area. Night curfew in these shut down days will be from 9pm to 5am. Grocery shops and milk booths will remain open from 6am to 12’O’ clock in shut down days and other conditions more or less similar to that of shut down conditions already laid down in Rourkela.
