CORONA IMPACT – CRIMINALS GET BACK IN ACTION & LOOT FROM AUTOMOBILE SHOWROOM IN BERHAMPUR

BERHAMPUR: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted cash more than Rs 3 lakh from a two-wheeler showroom (Vespa Delaer) at Khodasingi main Road in Berhampur City.

The matter came to light in early morning of Sunday, after the Showroom door being broken.

Police have started an investigation after the owner of the showroom lodged a complaint at Baidyanathpur Police station.

Getting the information the Baidyanathpur IIC,Sarada Prasanna Dash with his scientific team visited to the spot.

Police suspect the incident of taking place on Saturday late night or Sunday early morning. We are also investigating the possibility in different point of view of the crime also suspecting the involvement must be professional criminal group in the crime,’ said a police official.

Criminals have damaged the front CCTV Camera, broken the entrance door lock, Cash Box and destroyed the DVR system to wipe out any nature of evidence.

However, SDPO, Berhampur, B.Pati confident to nab the criminal’s very soon.Neccesary measures already being initiated following the directive of Superintendent of Police, which is not to be disclose to Press(!).

Recently, while Chairing a monthly crime meeting, Berhampur SP,Pinak Mishra asked all the SDPOs’Inspector-in-Charge of different Police station to identify crime hotspots, the time when Miscreants, Snatchers are the most active, the routes they to follow, where they dispose of jewellery and the age groups they were targeting. They’ve been asked to analyse PCR calls and increase day and night patrolling in City.

Following the instruction, the filed officers have identified city hot-spots including Bypass road, Flyover and other Business Hub locations, Apartment locations, where most of these crimes were committed.

Notably the Criminals were also applying their own sketch for their finished crime in their black hand mainly the areas like Khodasingi, Gajapati Nagar, Kalinga Nagar, Gajapati Nagar, Jayaprakash Nagar, and Gandhi Nagar.

Local’s plea to intensify the PCR movement in these areas to avoid such crimes.

Many times Berhampur SP, Pinak Mishra appeal to Public through Media for better co-operation from Public.Incase any occurrences they should come forward to the nearest police station without any faltering. Do not keep valuables at home or keep somewhere in safe place as the present situation after Corona Pandemic. Don’t blame to the Police rather talk yourself how safe you are (?).
