Corona has gripped everyone including sports: IPL game is suspended

ROURKELA: Since corona has a strong influence all over India in present scenario, the IPL is still going on in different locations without audience. But organizing such a big event in this pandemic is a Hercules task but the organizers of IPL successfully managed to pull this game despite all odd up to this stretch. But after finding players with support staffs corona positive, IPL organizers have to take a tough decision like this. Coivdi-19 recently breached the bio-bubbles and infected two franchises support staffs.
After finding this the organizers have still tried to switch the venue from Delhi to Mumbai but in-between on Tuesday another few players got infected from corona. Getting things in adverse condition the organizers have given the thought to call off the ongoing matches of IPL and declared suspended for the season. Few franchises have also requested IPL governing body to call off the IPL matches for now and may reschedule this after one month, two months or three months. And the request have been taken positively and for the sake of good health of players, support staffs and members engaged in organizing matches in different venues and the IPL game for the season got suspended. No doubt in this pandemic time, this game has given much relief to the people of the country those who are at home and were diverting their mind from the set back of corona but the health of players and others engaged in this game cannot be ignored either.
BCCI has also thanked all the state associations, health workers, staffs, players and different service providers for their support and love they have extended. All the players have been asked to go back to their respective home and to spend time with their loved ones. IPL game is the biggest sporting event and has been organizing in India and abroad and many international reputed players are participating in this game which gives a fine opportunity for the young stars from India to learn this sport more minutely. This game is also giving much revenue to our economy in different means. This news certainly disappoints the fans of this game but in a larger picture we can safeguard the helath conditions of players and other staffs who are engaged in numbers.
