Coordination Meeting Conducted for Improving Berhampur Traffic between Police & Municipal Administration

Berhampur: On Saturday a meeting was held at Berhampur  police  district office between Berhampur Police and the Municipal administration for improving traffic situation in Berhampur Mahanagr.

Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M., BeMC Commissioner J. Sonal, Berhampur Sub-Collector Kulkarni Ashutosh C, Addl SP Asim Panda , SDPO Town, Rajib L Panda , DySP & IIC Traffic, all IICs of Town Subdivision, IIC BN Pur, IIC Sadar and Enforcement officer of BeMC held detailed discussion regarding improving Traffic situation.

At the meeting, issues such as identifying parking areas for facilitating 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler parking, identifying and putting parking boards in areas where parking cause traffic congestion, identifying and removing encroachments causing traffic congestion, boarding roads, identifying schools and colleges where traffic congestion increases during opening and closing time, structural changes desirable on the roads, improving traffic signals which are in poor condition and renewing traffic barricades.

In order to study the field situation, joint teams have been formed for each police station area including Police, Municipality & Revenue authorities to inspect jointly and come up with suggestions and corrective steps.

It has been decided to continue this meeting as and when required and take necessary steps to improve the traffic situation step by step.
