Confirm Murder Protested by a Brave Police Constable saves life risking of his own life.

BERHAMPUR,( 20/06/25):One Berhampur Police Constable  Mr.Bijaya Kumar Mahapatra and respected staff members of  Odisha Police department on dated 20/06/2025 Friday while discharging of his line of duty Saves  life Risking of his own  life(!).Public praises of courage of Police Constable Bijaya Kumar.

According to Police district office information that,On 20-6-2025 at around 3.30 PM , one Anil Pattnaik(39), s/o Late Krushna Ch Pattnaik, Badhei Sahi, near Badhekhemundi Sahi, BNpur PS called 112 – ERSS ( Emergency Response Support System ) for Police help.

He complained that his own brother Ganesh Chandra Pattnaik is trying to kill him with a Kati. Immediately the nearest ERSS vehicle was rushed to the location.

Ganesh Chandra Pattnaik(35) was drunk and was holding the knife to attack and kill his own brother.

Constable Sri Bijaya Kumar Pattnaik who was in ERSS duty called for backup.

Immediately another 2 ERSS vehicle was rushed to the same location. However suspect Ganesh Chandra Pattnaik tried to attack his brother.

Without any hesitation Constable Sri Bijaya Kumar Mahapatra bravely jumped in to save the brother.

While trying to save brother , he got injured in his fingers in the right hand. Due to his absolutely brave and selfless act , he got injured in his right hand fingers.

Immediately Constable Sri Bijaya Kumar Mahapatra was shifted to City hospital and treated. Stitches were put on his wound and he is completely fine.

Accused Ganesh Chandra Pattnaik was detained by police and during arrest he fell down and injured himself.

Further investigation is going on.
