COMPLETE SHUT-DOWN TILL 31ST MARCH 2020 WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ADVISABLE

DELHI:Prime Minister Narender Modi in his nation-wide telecast at 8 pm on 19.03.2020 in an emotional and heart-touching speech kept short of announcing a complete shut-down in the country because of country approaching third state of corona-spread perhaps to avoid panic-creation amongst masses, even though such a harsh step was of utmost necessity rather than a self-imposed single-day janta-curfew that too on 22.03.2020 three days after the speech.
India with 135 crore population is not at all in a position to face even the third-stage of Corona-spread of community-transmission what to talk about fourth stage. Advisory for people above 60 years of age for voluntary stay at homes may not be workable in a country where senior citizens in general are actively working especially in private sector. Moreover Indians are not as disciplined either voluntarily or forcibly as in a country like China, at times under personal or family compulsions to go out of their homes unless there is a complete shut-down.
Each single day is vital, and complete shut-down in the country may be announced in case Corona-spread becomes faster by Sunday the 22nd March 2020.
