College Principal Nabbed While taking Rs 1 Lakh Bribe in Nayagarh

Bhubaneswar: Nalini Ranjan Bhuian, Principal of Dadhibaman Jew +3 Mahavidyalaya at Bahadajhola in Nayagarh was caught red handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs.1,00,000 from a staffer to release outstanding salary arrears of over Rs.5 lakhs.

Acting on a complaint lodged by the staff of the college, vigilance sleuths laid a trap on Tuesday, and nabbed the principal while he was accepting the bribe at his residence in Manikapatna area.

The entire marked-up bribe money was recovered from the possession of the erring principal. Searches were conducted at the principal’s residence and office following the trap. A case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
