COLD WAVE DISRUPTED NORMAL LIFE MANY PLACES IN ODISHA

Bhubaneswar:Odisha is experiencing cold weather on Sunday and it is estimated that the temperature will plummet down on Monday night also. This was informed by the India Meteorological Department.
The biting cold wave conditions continued on Sunday with the mercury dropping below 10 degree Celsius in several places in south Odisha. The night temperature in Odisha’s north districts may fall below normal by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius and below 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in other districts during the next two days.
The IMD also predicted that the Odisha may experience a wet Christmas this year as rains were likely in several districts between December 24 and 27.
The cold wave has disrupted normal life in several places in the state. Besides, a thick blanket of fog enveloped other parts of the district reducing.
visibility considerably. People were seen putting on their warm clothes while some others was seen huddling around bonfires seeking relief from the cold.
