CM Naveen Inaugurates 3 New Police Stations in Ganjam

Berhampur:Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated three new police stations in Ganjam district on Monday at around 4.30 pm through video conferencing.

The CM inaugurated Nimakhandi police station under Berhampur police district and two more police stations in Beguniapada and Aska under Ganjam police district.

With this, the number of police stations in Ganjam district has increased to 25. The Odisha Government has taken such measures to maintain law and order and control crime in view of the increase in population and area.

Sadar police station was the largest police station in Berhampur police district. This police station touches the boundaries of 11 other police stations. Nimkhandi police station consists of 9 panchayats out of 19 panchayats under this police station. These panchayats are located at a maximum distance of 12 km from police station.

This means that police services will be available quickly. An inspector, 2 each of SI and ASI, 10 constables have been appointed in this police station under the Sadar SDPO, said Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.

In Beguniapada block of Ganjam police district, Beguniapada outpost has been converted into a new police station. The police station will have two SIs, two ASIs, 10 constables and 11 home guards. Similarly, one inspector, 2 each of SI and ASI, 10 constables, 7 home guards have been appointed in the new Kotinada police station under Aska SDPO. Ganjam SP Jagmohan Meena, who took charge on Sunday, has visited the police stations to review preparations for the inauguration.

These police stations are equipped with modern facilities and women and child help desk.

On this occasion Satyabrta Bhoi, IGP (S.R),Dibyajyoti Parida Collector Ganjam, Chandrasekhar Sahu, Member of Parliament (L.S),Bikram Panda, MLA Berhampur and many eminent persons  Media persons and all senior Police Officers  were present
