Miscreants decamped with gold and silver jewelries from a locked house

Berhampur, Miscreants looted gold and silver jewelleries from a locked house of a local resident of Sudhansu sekhar Panigrahi, Sai Bihar under Nimakhandi Police station, Berhampur.

A complaint has been lodged by the victim Sudhansu Panigrahi at Nimakhandi police Station.

Further, source, reveal that, the looters decamped with around 430 gram gold and 2 kg silver jewelleries after breaking open the door of Panigrahi.

Berhampur,(24/12/25):The Berhampur Sadar Police have arrested a youth from Hillpatna, Berhampur Odisha has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating a scam wherein he extracted over Crores of rupees under the pretext of providing Job assurance at Singapore.

The job scammer identified as, Subrat Kumar Palo (45) S/O Late Biswanath Palo

Vill. Hilpatna, 3^rd Lane, Berhampur, PS. Gosaninuagaon, Dist. Ganjam.

Police seized Two nos. Android mobile phones,Photo copies of air tickets, Computer generate work permit for foreign nations in Singapore ,Photo copies of health check-up certificate issued by health diagnostic centre of Chennai and Photo copies of computer generated appointment letter by Keppel Shipyard from the possession of Palo.

Police said, On 01.06.2019 at 04.00 PM on the written report of complainant B.Giridhari Rao S/O soma Rao of Vill. Tata colony (New Kalipali), PS. Gopalpur, Dist. Ganjam, a case has been registered against Subrat Palo investigated into.

During course of investigation Police opened the real story behind the screen. The brief story of the case is that the accused persons Subrat Kumar Palo along with Balaram Maharana started a Job Track consultancy and Training centre at Bhabinipur and advertised by pasting posters, tying banners and distributed leaflets among the un employed youths of the area and lured them to get a good job in Singapore and conducted interviews.

After training, the victims paid Rs. 30,000/- each for passport, boarding tickets, other expenses and the accused persons assured the victims to send them in phase wise.

Accordingly they waited to go Singapore for many days. On the other hand, those who have already got training and having Passport, the accused persons has charges Rs.. 7,000/- each handed over the Xerox copies of air tickets from Chennai to Bangkok, then to Singapore for Dated 29.05.19and conducted medical check-up to them and again chargedRs. 3,000/- for it. Accordingly the victims reached at Chennai on 28.05.19 and contacted with the accused persons and waited for them, as they were not coming to Chennai, the victims trying to contact them over phone but the phones of the accused persons are switched off. In this way the accused persons cheated the victims.

As the informant disclosed that approximately 500 persons has been cheated and collected Rs. 30,000/- K. each per applicant .. When the victims of newly trained and seniors went to the office to ask them, but the office was vacated and accused persons absconded form the locality

Accused arrested U/s. /471/419/420/323/506/34 IPC and forwarded to court by Berhamour Sadar Police.
