CHATAR YATRA HELD WITHOUT DEVOTEES IN BHAWANIPATNA

BHAWANIPATNA:The famous Chatar Yatra of Goddess Maa Manikeswari in Bhawanipatna was held early morning without  devotees in view of the prevailing Covid situation.

All rituals were conducted as per tradition, but no devotee were allowed into the temple during the Yatra by the order of District administration.

Only priests, drummers of Jenabadya and a troupe of martial band ‘Ghumura’ were allowed to accompany the Chatar when it was carried back to the temple from Jenakhal.

The Kalahandi district administration has imposed restrictions on congregations.

According to source,all entry points to Bhawanipatna have been sealed and Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in the town from Friday till Sunday.
