CENTRAL GOVT. ORDERS STATE & UT TO SEAL BORDERS: ODISHA-JHARKHAND BORDER SEALED

ROURKELA: In a recent move, Central Govt. has ordered all state and UTs to seal its borders preventing migrated laborers to move in perspective of Lockdown which is continuing. Honble PM has already conveyed his sympathy for the migrated laborers who have been stranded in different areas and struggling for food and road transport. This instruction has come through vdo conferencing by Ajay Bhall, Union Home Secretary. In the outlook, Odisha-Jharkhand border near Birmitrapur has been sealed by the local administration, pushing hundreds of migrant workers to detain there. Instruction has already come to keep them under observation and to provide food and make necessary arrangements for their stay in a temporary stay house. Hundreds of trucks are also detained there in border. Police has kept strict observation on these migrant laborers. But nothing is cleat yet, for how many days they will be stopped going to their respective places and what extra precaution administration will take regarding to their health check up for COVID-19. Many social workers and businessmen from Birmitrapur come forward to extend help for these pitiable people by giving them food and essential items. Administration is also doing things which are required in the present scenario. Many of them who are detained have shown their anguish over the decision of the Govt. for a long Lockdown. They blamed the centre for the inaction to rescue them, which was paramount in nature. Anyways mass Lockdown is going on and will continue till April 14.
