CELEBRATING BIRTHDAY OF MENTOR JAYLALITHAA BY TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT BY GIFTING GOLD-RINGS TO NEWBORN BABIES: ARE WE LIVING IN A MONARCHY STATE

Delhi: It refers to Tamilnadu government celebrating 72nd birthday of its political mentor J Jaylaltha by gifting a gold-ring each to all newborn babies in a government-hospital in Chennai on 24.02.2020.
All such free-giftings cost heavily to state-exchequer. Such gifting could be done by the ruling party like was once done by Tamilnadu unit of BJP to celebrate likewise (gifting gold-rings to newborn babies) on the day of 68th birthday of Prime Minister in the year 2018.
Such free gifting to celebrate birthday of political mentor through state-exchequer can be done in a monarchy rule rather in a democratic governance. Need is of having some central regulatory public-authority to check such undesired spending from state-exchequers.
