CCD REACHED AT DISTRESSED ON COVID-19 BLOCKS OF GAJAPATI

GAJAPATI:CCD(Centre for Community Development) reached at vulnerable pockets of RUdayagiri & Rayagada blocks of Gajapati to support distressed people who desisted due to lock down on their livelihoods.Feeling their traumatic conditions after lock down where those families hardly ensured livelihoods gathered their smile. Through local PRI Representatives of the areas 500 people identified among them 400 belong to distressed, single headed families, poverty stricken with landless venture. Another 100 were from maternity care(both antenatal & lactating) mothers,malnutrition children,physically challenged persons.Each person were given 4 kgs of raggi powder,1 litre of cooking oil,1 kg salt packet,1 kg dal,a handwash soap & a mask.At Marlaba & Mandalasahi of Rayagada block 232 & 122 persons where as at Mangarapur of RUdayagiri block146 persons benefitted. AJagannath Raju, Secretary of CCD attended the program. Local PRI Members conveyed their gratitude for such rare gestures by CCD.Tapan Panigrahi Coordinator & their staff of CCD arranged successfully.
