Burglary case busted by Rayagada Police

Rayagada,(Badal Tah) : Chandili police vide PS case no. 02/25successfully detected a house burglary case within twenty four hours of report and recovered cash of Rs. 2,50,000.00 and seized one bullet motor cycle bearing Regn No. OD 18 M 9991 & one hatchet and arrested four accused persons. They are Akash Hikoka (25), S/o- Late Siri Hikoka, Rama Kanta Kulusika (33) S/o- Kalia Majhi Kulusika, Pradip Meleka (29) S/o- Sankar Meleka,  Siba Kadraka(19) S/o- Ramdas Kadraka : all from Village- Geraput, PS- Chandili, Dist- Rayagada. Unfortunately one of the accused named Pradip Meleka is a Samiti Member of Kartikaguda GP of Kolnara block.
 
As reported by the complainant Anil Kumar(25), S/o- Mahendra Singh of village Barabadi, PS-Bacun, Dist-Aurngabad, State-Bihar, at present manger of the Licensed IMFL OFF Shop located on Station Road, Therubali, on last Sunday between 10.40 P.M and 11.40 P.M while he along with other three shop staff had left for dinner break, unidentified thieves broke into the shop. The thieves gained unauthorized access by forcefully breaking the lock of the main door and also the lock of the cash box located inside the premises. As a result of this criminal act, a cash amounting to Rs.2,80,000/-(Two Lakhs and Eighty Thousand) was stolen. Additionally some uncounted currency which was stored inside the cash box was also taken by the thieves. The extra amount of the uncounted currency is yet to be determined as it was in the process of being counted at the time the staff left. So he reported the matter at police for legal action.
 
All the accused have been forwarded to court. The case was successfully handled by SDPO Rasmiranjan Senapati, IIC Prasanna Behera, Therubali Outpost SI H K Mundary & SI Asutosh Sahu.
