BURGLARY BUSTED: POLICE APPLAUDED

Rayagada, July 25: On last Monday at 10 AM when Amika@Ambika Naik(age-70) was cleaning the house of her son , one unknown person suddenly entered the house and snatched her necklace (Matamali) which was about 10 grams(1 Bhari) and locked her inside the house by locking the door from outside. This incident was reported at Andrakanch police station.
Police quickly acted and arrested the accused person named Arjun Jhodia, aged 22, s/o-Baidya Jhodia from Andirakanch. The robbed gold properties like four pieces of “Adila” and six pieces of “Mandiamali” (parts of gold necklace) were also seized from the accused person. These gold ornaments were returned to the righful owner Ambika, who is a senior citizen.
Locals, though terrified by this burglary during day time, have applauded quick action of the police.
