BERHAMPUR,(Odisha):BSNL Brahmapur in Odisha is at its worst ever in providing service. Expressing the disappointment Dr Chakrapani Patnaik told, being a consumer of BSNL for its various products for more than 25 Years, on their advice I opted for FTTH. Since then I have been facing frequent prolonged Internet issues. Shamelessly, BSNL sends bills every month. If good will prevails, the so called top Officials may once audit the amount of revenue BSNL collects and the amount of Data it provides to the consumers. FTTH, the so called fast net is the main cause of headache during this Covid period when members of all ages need it badly. Particularly, during the last two months FTTH service is the worst. Can BSNL Brahmapur assure uninterrupted net service for which revenue is being collected (?).Please don’t give the complaint number(which never works), try restoring the service round the clock, it works from 11 P.M to 11 A.M only.
The poor speed of the internet and the disrupted connection irks people, who are working from home and students are dependent on the internet to continue their studies during this crucial time.
In fact during the pandemic crucial situation especially in Ganjam,Odisha people are totally dependent on the broadband to work from home even Media at the time of the lockdown in the district, but the government-run telecom operator has taken its customers for granted with its disrupted services.
People complain that the officials of the BSNL do not attend phone calls and even the name and mobile number the company provides at the time of complaint booking No-1500 always remained silent (!).
“They are taking advantage of the situation and their monopoly. They know that customer cannot go to exchange due to lockdown/shutdown ,” said Biswanath Patnaik, another customer.
“We are told by our office to work from home, but it is impossible without the internet. We are paying a huge amount for broadband every month, but BSNL is taking advantage of its monopoly,”
