BSE Odisha Announces OSSTET 2024 Exam Date: Admit Cards Available from January 8

Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has officially announced the schedule for the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024. The exam is set to take place on January 17, 2025, and will be conducted in two sittings.

Candidates can download their admit cards from the official BSE Odisha website starting January 8, 2025. The first sitting, which includes Paper-I, will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while the second sitting, featuring Paper-II, will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

The OSSTET exam pattern consists of two papers. Paper-I is designed for candidates applying for teaching positions in Science (PCM/CBZ), Arts, Hindi, and Classical languages (Urdu/Telugu/Sanskrit). Paper-II is for Physical Education teachers. Each paper comprises 150 objective-type questions, with a total of 150 marks. Notably, there is no negative marking in the exam.

The qualifying marks for the OSSTET are set at 45% for General category candidates and 35% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates. This examination is a crucial step for aspiring teachers in Odisha, providing them with the eligibility to teach in government schools across the state.
