Berhampur:”Breast Cancer Awareness and Detection Camp” was organized today by Rotary Club of Berhampur and Inner Wheel Club of Berhampur in association with AWAAKEN at RCS Hall, Premnagar, Berhampur. CARCINOVA Cancer Hospital were the Health Partners.
A total of 80 lady members belonging to the Inner Wheel Club of Berhampur, Lady Rotarians & Anns attended the Breast Cancer Awareness Program and Screening of cancer detection done for all the 80 participants.
Dr Kshitish Mishra, Radiation Oncologists & Director, Carcinova Cancer Hospital, Cuttack & Dr Pragyan Paramita Mishra, MD, Carcinova Cancer Hospital, Cuttack spoke on Breast Cancer and Screening of Breast Cancer was done.
Swagatika Acharya, Cancer Activist & Chairperson Awaaken Cancer Care Trust,spoke on Cancer Awareness.
The President of Rotary Club of Berhampur Satyakam Patro presided over the Awareness Camp and President of Inner Wheel Club of Berhampur Gouri Patro was on the dias. The Rotary Club of Berhampur, Secretary, Sarthak, Joint Secretary, Madhusmitha Sahu and Past Presidents Ranjit Panda, Srinivas Prusty and Murali Krishna were Present on the occasion.
The Awareness Camp begined at 12 noon and continued till 3 pm.
Notably,this was the first of its kind organised by the Rotary Club of Berhampur.
