Bomb or Rasgolla (!) Dacoity Bid Foiled In Berhampur

Berhampur:A dacoity bid has been foiled by the Digapahandi police and a gang of dacoits has been busted at Chakatentuli, Kaitha Khandi and Talasingh and Bhusunda area under Digapahandi in Ganjam district of Odisha.
The police got a tip-off and while performing night patrolling in Chakatentuli, Kaitha Khandi and Talasingh and Bhusunda area and circle the entire village area.
According to Mr Pinak Mishra,SP,Berhampur,they were allegedly preparing to commit dacoity and were apprehend by the Digapahandi police.
As many as five accused persons were arrested and they were identified as; Lasi @ Kalia Sahu (24) S/o Subash Sahu Of Prahallada Nagar,Santosh Kumar Sahu (32),Parsuram Sahu Of Gaytrinagar 1st gate,Bikash Mahapatra (34) S/OLate Rabi Mahapatra, Burma colony 1st gate,Badal Naik (19) S/O Surendra Naik Of St. Utkal Cinema hall Square and Pintu Behera (28) S/O Kaibalya Behera Of Gramadebati street temple, Bada Bazar All are P.S- Badabazar Dist- Ganjam.
Four Live bombs,one Long Sword,One iron Kati,Iron Pipe,iron Rod,Five Mobile phones and other house breaking instruments have been seized used for offence.
The factual is the instant case was registered following a written Complt S.I Madhaba Chandra Takri ,of Digapahandi P.S that today i:e on 28.06.2021 at 1.30 AM while P.S staffs were performing night patrolling in Chakatentuli, Kaitha Khandi and Talasingh and Bhusunda area under Digapahandi P.S area received reliable information that a group of persons consisting of about 5-6 being armed with deadly weapon assembled at Kamalapur Chhaka and making preparation to commit Dacaoity at SBI, Talasingh. During raid five die hard criminals have been arrested and forwarded to Court. The investigation is on.
