Boat Capsizes in Balimela Reservoir

Malkangiri: Three persons went missing after a country-made boat capsized in Balimela reservoir in Malkangiri district on Wednesday.
According to the police,the mishap took place while 11 tribals, were being ferried from Orapadar to Bakuli across the reservoir of Andarapali panchayat area under the Chitrakonda block.
Further the police official said that though eight persons were rescued, the whereabouts of three, including a woman and her daughter, were not known, for which we intensify our rescue operation.
Soon we got this information all our police team was rushed to the spot and the rescue operation was launched with the help of Fire department to trace the missing persons with the help of the locals, police said.
