BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANIZED IN “DANDABADI”TRIBALVILLAGE

KORAPUT: The unprecedented spread of Corona virus in Koraput district has resulted acute shortage of blood stock in the SLN Medical college and Hospitals, Blood bank.
In this critical juncture the tribal youths of the district have come forward to the rescue of the needy patients of the district. District blood Donors and Motivators Forum in association with BJP Kolar Mandal, Boipariguda block has organized a Mobile Blood Donation camp in “Dandabadi” Tribal village of Boipariguda Block on 21st Sept’2020.
BJP District Coordinator, Swachh Bharat and eminent social activist Chandra Sekhar Rath has taken the initiative to organize the camp. President of DBDMF, Koraput G.Sanjeev Kumar, President of District ST Morcha Narendra Kondelia, General Secretary , District ST Morcha Lalit Pujari have attended the camp and encouraged the enthusiastic youth blood donors . Among others Durjya Khilla, Keshab Khilla, Ram Chakoria, Balaram Barik, Prabhakar Rao, Govind Santa have attended the camp and donated blood. Prior to the Blood Donation camp the organisers have conducted a Swachh Bharat programme in the village under the aegis of Seva Week to mark the 70th Birth Anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The functionaries of Koraput Blood Bank have collected 35 units of blood from the donors following strictly the guidelines of COVID-19.
