More than 70 People Donate Blood,Organised by Berhampur Press Club at Press Club premises.

Berhampur: The Blood donation camp, which was organised by the members of Press Club, Berhampur to help the injured persons those affected in recent train accident tragedy at Bahanga,(Balasore) Railway station, in Odisha and saw an enthusiastic response from the donors from different walks of life. Members of the club along with volunteers of the NGO donated blood.
Prior to inauguration Press Members, Guests, Doners others observed two Minute silent prayer,”Maha Mrutyunjaya Mantra”,Gayatri Mantra”to deceased and for speedy recovery of the injured persons those undergoing treatment at different Hospitals.
The function was inaugurated by Satyabrata Bhoi,IGP,(S.R) while Dr. Suchitra Dash, superintendent of MKCG Hospital, State Planning Board member cum Ex MLA,Dr.Ramesh-Chandra-ChyuPatnaik,Mayor,B.eMC,Ms.Sangamitra Dalai,DIPRO,Ganjam,Rabinarayan Behera,Bhimsen Dalai and Memebr of LokSevak Mandal,Rajendra Jena joined as Guest of Honour.
On this best occasion encouraging to Press Members,Bhoi,IG.Police said during this summer and heavy temperature outside last couple of weeks blood is not only use to Victims also needed to the people of Ganjam and people from neighboring districts. To save a life blood is common to all section of people. Every day, any time blood is essential to a needy patients. he further added.
About 75 units of Blood were collected in the camp. Many youths, women activists, and volunteers donated blood on the occasion.
