BJP LEADER SAMIR MOHANTY ELECTED AS STATE PRESIDENT OF ODISHA UNIT

Bhubaneswar: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Samir Mohanty was today elected unopposed as the new president of the saffron party’s Odisha unit.
The party’s Central observer Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar formally announced Mohanty’s election to the post of president of the party’s State unit. Senior party leaders, including Dharmendra Pradhan,Pratap Sadangi, Baijayant Panda and Arun Singh, were present on the occasion.
Mohanty was the only candidate who has filed his nomination for the post.
According to a party source, Mohanty had support from district presidents and State party council members and was elected unopposed.
Notably, Mohanty was the vice president of the party’s State unit since 2016.
