BJP Chief JP Nadda Holds Massive Roadshow In Bhubaneswar, Targets BJD
Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National President JP Nadda held a massive roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
BJP president J P Nadda on Thursday asserted that people of the state have “decided to give rest” to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik by electing the saffron party to power.
“This huge gathering and excitement amid the scorching heat and humid conditions show that the people of Odisha have decided to vote for BJP to form government both in the State and the Centre. People of the State want an active and healthy Chief Minister who can communicate with them in Odia…,” said Nadda.
“People of Odisha are happy with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work. The way officers took over the administration and Naveen babu became inactive for the last 20 years, people of Odisha now want to give rest to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and work to BJP,” he added.
Referring to the first phase of simultaneous elections in the state on May 13, when voting was held in four Lok Sabha seats and 28 assembly constituencies, Nadda said, “The BJD has missed the bus.”
Clearing the air on who will be the Chief Minister face of BJP in Odisha, Nadda said, “BJP decided its CM candidate for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan within three days. Similarly, the CM candidate for Odisha will also be decided.”
When asked about the alleged involvement of government officials in the election process, Nadda said, “It’s a matter of a few days and all those will be taken to task.”
It is worth mentioning that the BJP has time and again raised the issue of government officials including police officials allegedly working for the ruling BJD in Odisha.
