BJD youth leader injured in group clash in Bhadrak

Bhadrak, July 25: A youth leader of BJD was injured after he was assaulted by a group of miscreants near Manjuri Road in Bhadrak district today.

The victim Diptisurya Biswal is currently undergoing treatment at Bhandaropokhari Hospital. Biswal is the president of Biju Chatra Janta Dal, the student wing of BJD for Bhadrak district.

As per reports, a group of miscreants have near Manjuri market defying the weekend shutdown. Biswal who is also a Zilla Parishad member was passing through the market when both the groups had a heated exchange of words. Later a clash broke out between both the groups leaving Biswal and two of his associates injured.

Both the groups have lodged complaints against each other. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
