Bijayalaxmi Mahapatra Honored at Delhi for Women Empowerment

Paralakhemundi:On the occasion of International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women held at Delhi, Bijayalaxmi Mahapatra of RUdayagiri of Gajapati district has been honored. Among 5 women of Odisha,she has been honored by Union RD Minister Giriraj Singh. For her commendable contribution to empower grassroot women her strong commitment could step her such great feat on national level. Member of Meerabai SHG & front line leader of “SWYAM”, a gender transformative model project implemented by OLM & supported by PCI(Project Concern International).Among others from Deogarh Kemini Jit, Mayurbhanj Sanjulata Mahanta, Ganjam Jharana Ray & from Jagatsinghpur district Mamata Rout,too, honored.Among those dignitaries present,were Sadhwi Niranjan Jyoti Union Minister of State for RD & Steels, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Nagendranath Sinha Secretary to Ministry of RD, Charanjeet Singh Addl Secretary of RD, Sailesh Kumar Singh, Nita Kejriwal Jt.
