BHARAT BANDH: 3 TRAINS DETAIN IN BERHAMPUR

Berhampur: As many as three trains have stranded at the Berhampur railway station as Congress, Left party and trade union activists staged a Rail Roko as part of the Bharat Bandh underway since this morning.
The trains which have remained unmoved are Palasa-Cuttack Memu, Brahmapur-Palasa Express train and the Yashobantpur-Howrah Express train.
Shops, bazaars, schools, colleges have also remained closed. Vehicular movement has been stopped, putting normal life in the silk city to a standstill.
Adequate police personnel have been deployed at important places across the city to avoid any untoward incident during the ongoing bandh, said sources.
