BERHAMPUR;INTER-STATE ATM CARD FRAUDSTER ARRESTED

Berhampur:Police today nabbed one inter-state ATM card fraudster from a isolated place within Jarada police in Berhampur Police district.
The accused persons have been identified as D Harihara Reddy of village Sitarampur under Chamakhandi Police station,Ganjam,Odisha.
Police sources said that the accused Harihara is involved in ATM card frauds in Ganjam, Kandhamal district and Srikakulam (AP State) as well. He has having a nice technical brain how to committing the frauds.
Surendra Murrmu, SDPO, Chikiti said, “After a tip-off from reliable sources, the IIC of Jarada had visited Andhra Pradesh and helped in arrest the accused D.Harihara Reddy who involved in ATM card frauds. After that, applying the mastermind and arrested him on Thursday.
After being arrested, the accused confessed the series of frauds such as skimming of ATM cards and made away with heavy cash from innocent people in Patrapur,Chikiti,Digapahandi,Berhampur in Ganjam district,some places in Kandhamal district even at Srikakulam,A.P State.
The Fraudster earlier involved in 18 cases and went to jail. After his release he started the same crime again and around 20 cases are pending against him at different police stations,Murmu said.
According to source from Jarada PS they said, we have seized one Two wheeler (Regn No- OD-07-AD-6857),skimming devices, mobile phones, cash of Rs 36,000 and numbers of ATM cards of different banks have been seized from his possession, a case under Sections 399/402 of IPC has been registered and the accused forwarded to the court. Further investigation is underway. If necessary we may pray before the court to bring on remand for further interrogation as told by IIC,Jarada Mrutyunjaya swain.
