Berhampur- Sambar Horns seized by Golanthara Police

Berhampur:Getting a tip off regarding disposal of wildlife organs/products by the veteran criminal Kuna Behera and his associate Chiyan Gouda in Tamana Forest area at Ghatakeswar Temple, Golanthara PS staff conducted raid.
During the raid, seeing the Police team Kuna Behera and his associate Chiyan Gouda started fleeing.
While chasing Kuna Behera taking advantage of the deep forest managed to escape. But they left two Sambar Horns that they were carrying with them. As they were wildlife organs and were procured by hunting the wild animals in an illegal way , they were seized form the spot and intimated to the forest officials and today on arrival of the forest officer those two wildlife horns were handed over to them for initiating necessary legal action at their end.
