Berhampur: On Saturday a preparatory Meeting was held amongst all top Cop at DPO, Conference hall chaired by SP, Pinak Mishra.
Keeping in view of coming Dushera Puja and Kumar Purnima in city SP, Mishra said that special police officers may be deployed if necessary at various Puja area across the city in which locals would be assigned the responsibility to smoothly conduct the festival.
He told to officers present, in Berhampur as Public are well aware that police always going to play a vital role to ensure their Security. In context, he added that, for the common people, Senior Citizens, and Family holders are to be feel safe and nothing adverse and this should be our first duty to make them aware with polite body language during the period especially Covid19 pandemic.
The beginning of a festive season, which is followed by Dussehra, Kumar Purnima and Diwali.
Apart from the Special drive to be in action nab wanted criminals ahead of festivities. The district police will also try to resolve all ongoing pending cases,anti-social drives at various police stations.
SP said, to the officers, our main focus would be with the people. All measure efforts are on to ensure that the festival is observed peacefully by following the Covid guideline.
He directed the precautionary measures are all about to maintain the Zero Tolerance against Puja Chanda,Dussehra Mamuli, Dada Bati, Strict enforcement against Gambling and illegal sale of Liquor, Identification of anti-socials, Goons and Criminals and bounding them down u/s 110 CrPC.,Strict enforcement regarding observation of COVID-19 guidelines during Durga Puja, Ensuring effective patrolling in view of the Puja season to prevent snatching and other offences. Instruction conveyed to all SDPOs to ensure COVID-19 regulations for Durga Puja which is adhered to strictly. No Puja Pandals will be allowed outside without the permission of the District Administration.
In connection he told the Blue print was already prepared for the coming Dussehra Puja and Kumara Purnima all officers should be stick on the agenda without fail.
Adequate security measures would be taken for maintaining law and order during the Puja and Kumar Purnima till end of Diwali which to observed across the City.
Among others, Addl.SP, Prabhat Routray, PK Mishra, SDPOs’Vishnu Pati,(City),JK Mohapatra,(Sadar),Surendranath Murmu and all Inspectors of Police stations were present.
