Berhampur-Fake Liquor Manufacturing Unit busted , 4 arrested

Berhampur: Police have busted a duplicate IMFL manufacturing unit and arrested 4 persons under Golonthara Police station limit on Sunday late night.
Thae accused persons have been identified as Muna Nayak,age( 42),of Haridakhandi Chhak, Bulu Patra,(50) of Sitaram Sahi , Aska Road Sania Sahu , (37) of Jagabandhu Sahi , Nilu Sahu,(27)of Kanisihata.
The police have seized Spirit – 40 litres ,Empty Bottle – 500 Bottle caps – 3000 IMFL company Lebels- 500, EAL – 500,Colour – 01 litre Duplicate and adulterated IMFL of different brands – 20 litres . An auto – rickshaw bearing regd no – OR 07 R 0365 and on Scooty Bering Regd No – OR 07 M 7348 from their possession.
Report said,tbased on intellengency input in connection regarding supply of duplicate and adulterated IMFL to the shops of Tamana and Sihala Area , raid was conducted at Sihala Tamana Road at the late night by the team of Golonthara Police .
Police spotted the illegal manufacturing unit soon 4 persons were apprehended with the seizures including 04 cartons of duplicate and adulterated IMFL comprising 20 litres.
Upon interrogation , the accused persons led to their manufacturing unit which they were running in the village Betajhari which is inside the dense jungle . As per the Brief of the statement of the accused persons raid and search was conducted at Betajhari in a thatched cottage on the outskirt of the village.
Notably as these accused persons have open mouth admited that they were preparing the duplicate and adulterated IMFL and were selling openly for the use of human consumption in the local market ,report said.
They were arrested and forwarded to the court.The investigation of the case is going on . Efforts are being made to ascertain the involvement of any other persons in this crime .
