BERHAMPUR; 3 More Accused Arrested in Mohuda Double Murder

Berhampur, During last week of June,23 in a terrific incident, two people were murdered near Mahuda village under Digapahandi  police limit in Berhampur Police district.

Reacting police team rush to the spot and started their probe into. With the support from locals they came to know that the deceased persons have been identified as Shiba Gouda and Liti Gouda of Mahuda village. Their burnt bodies were recovered from the bushes (!).Police immediately arrange the FMT of the bodies.

Soon after the mishap on same day the shocking incident has spread and shockwaves in the area with terrified locals flee the village.

On such heinous brutal Murder, on being alerted, many senior,DSPs’ Inspectors of  police including ASP rushed to the village Mahuda and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.

Subsequent probe revealed the two friends were in the tractor business. They had gone to collect their borrowed money. Two youths broke out in a fight with a few villagers following which they were beaten to death and have also set their motorbike on fire.

Reacting on the incident, Berhampur SP said, the day when “I received information that two bodies were set on fire “ I directed IIC, Digapahandi  to nab all to all those are involved “Our team detained 15 suspects from  the village until further probe.

From our marathon interrogation we confirmed three of them confess their crime and they are; Apurba Bastia (39) S/O Lt Bauri Bastia ,Budha @ Pabitra Nahak (21) S/O Ladu Nahak  and   Sanjay Sahu (45) S/O Kirtan Sahu all are of vill- Mahuda, PS- Digapahandi all they arrested and forwarded to court.

On our ongoing today another three involved have been arrested  identified as Sibaram Charcha (37) S/O Lt Dandapani Charcha of Main road Mahuda, Budha Jagannath Nahak (24) S/O Ekadasi Nahak   and  Bipin @ Dukhiram Majhi  (24) S/O Sanatan Majhi all  trio of vill- Majhisahi  Mahuda, PS- Digapahandi. Still our  investigation is ON other accused will be taken into task ,he added.
