Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, Bhubaneswar on NH-16 i.e. opposite of Hotel Leo Sai International PS. Soro Dist. Balasore against illegal transportation/possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended one accused person namely Babu @ Kalim S/o. Sheikh Sabbiruddin @ Safiruddin of Kajimahalla PS. Soro Dist. Balasore .
During search Brown Sugar 01 kg 100 gm and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from his possession. The accused person could not produce any document or authority for possession such contraband Brown Sugar, for which he has been arrested and will be forwarded to the court. In this connection STF PS case No. 03/ 2022 U/s 21(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 has been registered. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 48 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 89 quintals of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 122 drug dealers/peddlers.
