Annapurna, Blast Furnace-4 of SAIL Outperformed Its Metal Production

ROURKELA: Rourkela Steel Plant (SAIL) is a premier steel plant of SAIL and has been doing well over these years. Many units of its main plant has been performing beautifully to its production and in the chain Blast Furnace-4 named Annapurna has asset a new record by producing 3110 Tonnes of Hot Metal on a single day on 5th February.

The previous best was 3022 Tonnes which was made on 31st December, 2020. It was commissioned on 3rd July 1967 and was having a volume of 1658 cubic meter and after the inspiration of Hon’ble PM for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, many efforts are made in increasing its capacity of production and result is on improving day by day. For this feat one celebration was done and in that Dipak Chattraj,CEO, RSP  visited the Blast Furnaces site with other senior officers and greeted all the employees over there for whom this extraordinary result has come and distributed sweets over there.

Addressing to the employees present over there he congratulated for the collective efforts being pushed in and for a proper coordination between the departments. He also emphasized on enhancing quality and maintaining consistency which in turn will enable achieving better margin in the market. The other officers who present in the occasion were Pankaj Kumar, ED(Projects), C R Mohapatra, CCGM in-charge (MM & Marketing), B R Sahu, CGM(BF) along with many other CGMs and senior officers of RSP.
